The Other Look

You’ve already seen the first look I came up with for my editorial for MEGA Magazine’s 20 Most Stylish Women of 2012. We were actually told to prepare one look for day and another for night. Obviously, this one was my day look. Usually, whenever I get features like this, I try my best to show a variety of looks to show people I’m not just this or that. You see, I’m really not a fan of stereotypes and labels, especially when it comes to describing someone’s style. Labels can only do so much. They can never truly describe a person’s style completely. They’re so constraining even! I mean it’s always possible to, say, rock the sweet look one day and maybe grunge the next. You don’t always have to wear a certain style. Fashion is more fun this way, don’t you think?

In this case, since my night look was glam and sophisticated, I opted for a young and fresh take instead for my day look. Very pang-bagets!

    Hi Camille!
I have been your follower ever since you have started blogging and I’ve been hooked since.
However, I was surprised with the new look of your blog. Honestly, I was saddened with the new look not because it’s not good but because I thought that it is now too commercialized. I still want the old feel of your old blog because it felt like this is someone I could directly relate to since you’re not like an artista. I know that you have been very exposed since you’re very popular now, but I just want to let you know that seeing your blog made me uninterested in reading it because it felt too commercialized.

This is just my opinion. I hope you dont take it in a negative way. :)

Oh no not at all. I can see why you felt that way. But my friend and I did everything we could to make it more convenient and efficient. We wanted something more professional-looking, not as cluttered and basically, more me. The content is still very much the same. It’s the same blog posts, same comments, same photos, same ads. We just rearranged them, placed a few (actually a lot) of ribbons haha! I just really wanted the look to get upgraded. It saddens me that you’re no longer interested in reading my blog but if you know me, then you’d understand how this layout makes me so much happier. It really fits me so well! :)

Not at all, the new look of the site is much more clear and cute with pink ribbons :) it’s much more organize and images look better too , that is on my own opinion. in short, for me it’s a thumbs up :)

Right? That was one of our main goals also–faster loading because so many people were complaining about it. Thank you! I’m so happy you like this new layout :)

Oh my god…. I’m getting flashbacks of my latter years in grade school. I feel a late ’80’s – early 90’s vibe with a lot fresh accents.

And the bright red lipstick! haha! “Bagets” indeed!

I do like it, but please don’t tell me you will actually put advertisement at the top? I think it will ruin the look and feel of the page, and compete with your logo…just a thought. But love your looks! and you! c:

Thanks Danielle! Appreciate it! It might be an ad or an announcement or something else. No matter what, I hope you trust me enough that I won’t put anything that will ruin my blog’s look. :) It won’t be distracting and will be screened carefully. Promise! :)

I’ve been reading your blogs for quite sometime now and i must say, aside from those gorgeous clothes and dresses that your wearing in your posts your BEAUTY should be complimented too. From funky, trendy, rocker looks to sophisticated and classy images…you’re one of the few who could pull off so many different looks with style and grace. Btw, Ate Camille, i just love your beautiful face, you are gorgeous, would you mind sharing your beauty secret/s? :)

The Roxy watch, ayie!:) It seems like you’re getting prettier each day, does it have something to do with the fast approaching birthday? hehe anyhoo, can i ask something? What moisturizer do you use on your face? I just want to know what keeps your face flawless and breakout/pimple-free.:) Thank you! may you have a hahahahahappy day! Blessed be!♥

Haha I hope so! I’m not at all breakout free! Trust me! I have my moments. Usually they come out at the most inconvenient times. Ugh. Anyway, I use La Roche Posay moiturizer. :)

I always love how you can pull off this kind of coordination. You’re so versatile, making each piece work in a different way that how it was first made to be. My only critic here is your eye make-up; the look doesn’t seem as fresh and young as it would have if the eyeliner wasn’t so thick. XD
