Forest Green

Here’s another one of the many old outfits I haven’t blogged about. I remember having so many meetings that day so I wanted to dress in such a way that would make people believe I’m a grown 24-year-old woman instead of a teen.

What do you think? Was I successful? I didn’t want to dress so seriously so strict corporate wear was definitely out. Since it was summer, I chose to wear a floral top and kept it mature and sophisticated by pairing it with a not-so-happy-colored lace pencil skirt. Of course I had to make my outfit more office-appropriate so I wore a simple crisp vest over my top and kept my hair up in a neat ponytail using my trust Goody elastic.

There you go! Ready to talk business, sir!

I Heart Matilda top

Zara skirt | Mango belt

Nude Clothing vest

Celine bag | Yhansy ring

Mango wedges

hiiii! i love your outfit! quick question, what do you suggest wearing for corporate attire events? but you can still use the individual pieces for casual events :D it would really help a lot!

Thanks K! So many! How about buying separates instead of dresses? Easier to style for casual days!

Lovin those shoes! I saw them in Mango but I got the black one instead. I would have gotten the white one but I’m not sure it suits my morena skin. haha! Wish the white one suited my complexion too! haha! Good job on the professional look!

You’re lucky to look very young of your age. You can still be mistaken as a HS student..promise. On the other hand, looking like a teen can be a hindrance if you want to mean business. Sometimes people do not take you seriously…thanks to powers of getting the right outfit…but more importantly its really how you carry yourself and converse. Your Celine bag, belt and skirt did the serious trick…now you mean business.haha!

I totally agree with you! The other day I was called “nene” when I inquired about a mall space :(

(to Ms. Camille) Maybe you can include tips about dressing up to look more grown-up in your next post? :)

Too bad, my company is very strict when it comes to dress code. =(
That’s why it’s very hard to look fab and young.. Any suggestion Ms. Camille? =)

Hi just wondering where you bought the bag and the cost as well.
I’ve been eyeing on the three color Celine bag. I really like this outfit of yours,
Very corporate and classy, feminine and neat. :) hyped!

It’s a nice outfit. But the floral top just dials down the business-like tone and feel you were trying to achieve far too much. It looks more casual than business in my opinion. That floral top just really ruined the whole thing. If I were to have a meeting with you, I would probably think you were a child trying to emulate a woman. I am in no means trying to insult you. Just my personal opinion.

To each her own! :) I guess you have to consider the scenario as well since I am meeting people as a fashion designer and blogger. If I were in the corporate world, then it would be a different story.

You are exquisite! I love the colour of your skirt! It really reminds me of pine trees – Christmas trees? And the lace detail is such a surprise! I thought it was going to be just cotton or something. I love it when clothes are much more than they look at a first glance? Am I making sense here? Haha!

Also, what camera and lens do you use, Camille? And you know how the background is slightly blurred (so we don’t get distracted by the background and you’re the first thing we notice)? Is the effect achieved on the camera or do you Photoshop the photo a bit? I’ve always wondered. I really don’t fully understand all the camera technical terms but if you have time, please de-confuse me? Haha! Sorry for asking so many questions!

You make sense! :) Thanks Mayzin! I use Nikon D7000, 35mm lens. The blurred effect is due to the lens :)

Korek! You’re no longer a teen but a young woman / girl-power professional! Sometimes, it’s indeed the way we dress that defines us at work (somehow). I fall on that trap too. I get inspired by your corporate wear. That helps me a lot! Still young but definitely a professional! Yey! You’re so inspirational.

The solid green color of the lace pencil skirt, the white drape vest and the Celine luggage makes the look mature (in a good way). The printed top gives a youthful touch it. nice!

That Celine is one those things in my wish list.
