Timeless in Muji

There comes a time in your life when you realize that it’s not always about the trends. When you reach a certain age (for me it was when I entered my twenties), you start to want to invest in key pieces that will last you a long time.

Muji 2013 Summer - Layered Series 2

Basic pieces like this start to stand out more–pieces that you can mix and match easily. They’re simple and fuss-free. These are the type of clothes that can give you a polished and timeless appeal. If you want to stock up on these, I suggest you take a look at MUJI.

Muji 2013 Summer - Nautical Layered Series

I’ve known MUJI for quite some time now. Most of my organizers, pens and notebooks are from MUJI. But aside from these, MUJI also has a great clothing line. It’s all about functional wardrobe staples that perfectly encapsulate that minimal aesthetic the Japanese are so good at. All their pieces are so clean and streamlined but at the same time, modern and contemporary. These are the reasons why I find MUJI so appealing. They’re pieces can withstand the test of time. And they’re made to compliment everyone, regardless of age, sex and nationality.

For their summer collection, MUJI features the Layered Series–a line of tops and tunics in whites, neutrals, pastels and stripes. They’re designed for easy mixing and matching of lengths, cuts and colors. I know what you’re thinking, how on earth can we layer under the summer heat? Not to worry. Muji’s garments are made from thin, light organic cotton fabric so they provide comfort while beating the heat. They’re fresh and have an airy fit to the body so you’re able to layer all you want. Now that’s a good investment!

In the Philippines, MUJI is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) and is located at Robinsons Magnolia, SM Mall of Asia, Bonifacio High Street, Power Plant Mall at Rockwell Center and Greenbelt 3. Open for a limited period only in Alabang Town Center and 158-Designers’ Blvd at The Podium. Opening Soon: Muji Shangri-la

Muji’s styles are like Uniqlo’s too! Nothing beats the classics! Love it.

Hi Cam! Sorry if this is a bit out of the context but may I just ask if you know any shop from Divisoria selling some overruns? Thank you! :)
