Military Chic

It feels like ages ago since my last outfit post under the hot summer sun. I kind of missed it. No more coats. No more layering. Just a good old pair of shorts and a tiny top to help me survive the heat. Whew, finally! Dressing up no longer requires battling with my stockings and thermals! I never thought I’d say this but thank you dear summer for making your presence felt as early as now. This kind of casual dressing works best under this weather–both for practical and aesthetic  purposes. Preskong presko! No florals in sight for now though.I got a little inspired by the camouflage print on my matching bag and shoes so I thought I’d go military chic for my summer outfit this time around. What do you think?

Speaking of summer, have you guys heard? Closeup is throwing another summer party called Closeup Forever Summer. If you remember, Closeup threw its first music festival last year called Closeup Summer Solstice. It was a 12-hour outdoor party that featured dance music acts like Afrojack, Cedric Gervais, Alex Gaudino, Dev, and Cobra Starship. The next one was supposed to be Closeup’s year-ender party but that got cancelled due to Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda. This year though, Closeup Forever Summer is finally happening and it’s even more special than the last one! It’s the first and only music festival of its kind that allows the public to decide on how they want the party to go down.  Anyone can have a say by telling the guys over at Closeup what they want via Closeup’s Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #CloseupForeverSummer. I’ve been joining in on the conversation and I must say, I love having my voice heard. It makes me feel like the party is being made for me. LOL!

Gah! I’m so excited to find out the full details and artist lineup of Closeup Forever Summer. Are you too? The big reveal is already happening tomorrow at Closeup’s announcement party featuring foreign DJ Thomas Gold at Republiq Club. Who do you think is the headliner this year? I’m still hoping for Alesso. Fingers crossed!

    Stunning as always Ms. Camille! :) BTW, we have almost the same shorts except that mine’s black. Haven’t worn it once because I am close to being chubby. I feel like it’s not “bagay” with me.       People think that the more they cover up, the slimmer they’ll look. Don’t let this kind of thinking stop you from wearing what you want. Less bulky tops would look best!

    What I like most about this outfit are your shorts. As for the military inspiration, you earned your stripes quite well with this sweet combination of Army Green and camouflage.
