The Night Is Yours

Making a name in an industry as competitive as fashion is tough, especially when you’re starting from scratch. I still remember when I started my clothing line Coexist. Back then, I was still doing it with my sister. We knew so little about the ins and outs of the industry. We didn’t know where or how to find good suppliers. We didn’t know who to contact to get our name out there. We were like lost little puppies. But slowly, with our hardwork and help from kind friends we met along the way, we found our yellow brick road. I always say, no man is an island. Behind every success is a helping hand. I’m always thankful to these people who supported Coexist and me. And if there’s ever any way I can repay them, I would.

Fast forward to one month ago, I got a message from one of these kind friends in the industry. Her name is Bianca Cordero. Bianca is a celebrity stylist  who supported Coexist since our early days. And now, she has ventured into fashion designing as well. She messaged me to ask if could attend her event as one of her muses. Of course I said yes! I was more than happy to support her on her special night. I still remember when she first started styling. She was still so shy then but always so humble and grateful. She has definitely come a long way! Congratulations, Bianca!

I know it’s really late but still I would like to congratulate your friend.. =) What are your advice to get into the fashion world with no connection or without any experience? Is it possible?

      Of course it is! I definitely didn’t have any when I started :) Everyone has to start somewhere :) Just don’t be afraid to network, improve your skills and get experience!

    Yes, I must agree with you that being in the fashion industry, it is not easy and very rare you meet helpful people through the competition. You’re very blessed to meet kind and humble friends and they’re definitely for keeps. Bianca is definitely talented and the dress you wore really shows her skill. Congratulations Bianca =)

    Stunning! Very sexy in this dress. Miss Camille, is maxi dress can be worn in a wedding? My brother is getting married. It’s just a simple wedding. No more entourage just exchanging of vows in a small chapel. I’m one of the, what you call a secondary sponsor. I want to wear something simple, elegant and at the same time comfortable.     Talaga namang mas masarap lasapin ang tagumpay ‘pag pinaghirapan. At pinagiingatan kasi nakakaloka at Haggardo Versoza ka na bago ma-achieve. Chos. I agree with everything you have said. Makes me wanna cry! I can sooo relate. Behind every success talaga are a lot of struggles and people who helped you make it through.
