Color Me Pink

It’s not obvious I like pink, isn’t it? I mean, this outfit is just so subtle, you won’t even be able to tell. Sarcasm aside, I’ve always been a pink-lover. It was my favorite color as a kid, all the way until my teenage years. This is probably Barbie’s fault. She programmed me into thinking that pink is the coolest color on earth and that if you wear pink, you’re magically pretty. She’s got an evil plan, I tell you.

My, my! Here I go again talking rubbish. Let’s focus on my outfit, shall we? Before my cheesy jokes and epic weirdness attack.

I know a lot of you are afraid of wearing monochromatic outfits like this one. I’ve never been apprehensive to try this style because my mom used to do it all the time. She’d pair her pink top with pink slacks, sky blue top with sky blue pants and so on and so forth. Her closet looked like a pastel-colored rainbow because she had so many colored slacks! So needless to say, I’m no stranger to this style. If you’re worried about looking “too pink” or “too (insert color here)”, just make sure you pair different shades of that color together. This way, your outfit looks dynamic and far from flat. Give it a try! You might just like it.

    Barbie made me love that color too. It was not until I was 12 when I realized she has polluted my mind. LOL! Joke! :D Anyway, I love the contrast of mellow colors here. Nice mixing! :)

    Demonstrated by the clothing I can see you put the use of color perfectly, although the same color, but the hue is not the same. Another light pink skirt with white high heels seemed more harmonious. Appreciation!

    I think monochromatic outfits are chic as long as you do it right! It’s tricky pero once you master it, you’ll be looking ultra chic!
