Just For Kicks

There was a time in my life (many many times in my life, actually) that I had zero sports or health-inclined activities. I’d always have moments when I’d let my laziness take over for not just months, but years! You won’t see me step foot inside the gym or break a sweat. No morning walks. No quick run around the village. Nothing. Not even a few hula-hoops could get me moving. LOL. But then one day, I started to realize how sluggish, down and weak this kind of lifestyle is making me feel. It’s like I don’t have the energy to do anything, both physically and mentally. It was unhealthy and unproductive. I needed an active lifestyle. Pronto. So I went back to the gym and started working out religiously again. For me, exercising isn’t just about looking fit, but feeling fit as well. I feel refreshed and positive—like I can do anything I put my mind to. And this is what motivates me to keep going and to maintain the habit. Not the 6-pack abs everyone puts on a pedestal (although it wouldn’t hurt to have one. You see, I put them on a pedestal too, a very very high pedestal I will never ever reach. LOL!)

So now that I’m determined to keep this healthy lifestyle and forever shun the sluggish old me, I noticed how my wardrobe is slowly gaining more active wear and sports-friendly items. I’ve even started incorporating them into my outfits! Much like this pair of Nike running shoes I recently got from JD Sports. They’re not just meant for the gym, they’re OOTD-worthy too!

Hahaha.. Don’t worry, you will be hearing a lot of that from me!! =D Yeah.. Thanks, Ms Camille! Though I join the Fun Run category which is only 7km.. But I’m treating that as a starting point for me as I don’t run a lot.. You should join, Ms Camille! You work out and I’m sure you can do it! =)

People often say that life is movement, know that it is easy and it is difficult to do ,the reason is that people do not exercise regularly.
You wear sports clothing package is full of youthful vitality.

Such love for this outfit! (But then again, you do realize I am perpetually in love with the outfits you come up with, don’t you? Of course you do.) I agree with what you said about fitness. I love it for the same reason–to feel good. Looking good is a bonus! :) (Can’t exactly squeeze time for it during hell week, however. AAH.) (UUUY but I have time to read your blog. Chos!)

It does? I actually think they’re not! Haha! I don’t even bring a comb in my bag LOL! But I do blowdry, but not like how the salon does it. Just to really dry my hair, not to style :)

It is so refreshing to see you in Kicks! I feel you, sometimes we also need to work out/exercise, because before I really hate sweating too. But I guess we really need to be physically fit! For our own good, now that I am working out almost everyday, my body is getting stronger and fit. Say yes to staying fit! :)
