No Way But Up

I’ve always loved balloons. I remember as a kid, I’d always make sure to bring even just one balloon home whenever we’d attend a kiddie party. Fast forward to my 26-year-old-supposedly-adult-self, I’m still bringing balloons home with me. LOL! In my defense, I didn’t steal these away from any kids. My friends threw me a surprise birthday party last month and filled the restaurant with balloons so I saw the opportunity and indulged in my kiddie desires. They turned out to be great accessories to my outfit anyway so I guess that more than justifies my actions.

Now on to my outfit. I know a lot of you have been requesting for more posts featuring flats, so here you go–a casual and summery ensemble featuring a simple pair that’s easy to style with your everyday outfits. I love that they come in a neutral color and classic design. It’s flats like these that are here to stay, maybe even until I finally outgrow my love for balloons. But then again, who am I kidding? Will I ever outgrow my love for balloons? Will I? WILL I?

Aaahhh! You are too adorable! Another favorite of mine <3 Do you have an idea what cloth was used for the skirt? It looks really nice.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with loving balloons and other kiddie stuffs. Heck, I’m already 20 and I still like to eat the pancake mix left on the mixing bowl or steal a spoonful of milo from my mother’s cupboard. To be honest, I actually find it sad when people try to let go and leave behind things that they loved when they were kids because I believe that it is better to see the world through the eyes of a child.

On second note, I really love your outfit. It’s very simple, comfortable and I just love your top! The prints and colors of your top go well with the balloons. I also love the photos. It doesn’t look like typical OOTD photos, more like a photoshoot reminiscing how it feels like to be a happy kid.

Oh pancake mix, sounds so yummy! :) You’re right. I get jealous of how kids view the world. Life was so much simpler then :)

I really like how feminine this outfit is :) I’m always cautious about wearing long skirts and looking middle-aged. Can you give some tips on how to wear these for a twenty year old with a pear shape? Thanks! x

You’re in luck because they’re still on trend :) Invest in younger colors or pair your skirt with happier and younger looking tops if that is your concern :) It’s always about balancing it off!

I missed commenting in your blog! We do the same thing every time I’m in a kiddie party too but sometimes I gave up mine to other kids who doesn’t have their balloon (heartbroken in the inside, haha heartbroken talaga?) But anyway, on to your outfit already, what I can say is summery-flowery-kiddie at heart.

You’re not alone. I love balloons too! My friends also surprised me last month. Haha. I got to take home a very very big balloon. I can’t forget all eyes on me as I went home. Parang gustong kuhanin yung lobo, lalo na yung batang nakakasalubong ko. Haha! Maybe April celebrants have this thing for balloon, or everybody else too? Hehe.

Bagay sayo ang flats because you're already quite tall. The rest of us are not so lucky haha.

Nope, Miss Camille. Loving balloons is something you should not be in a hurry to outgrow. I too love these colorful decorations. I even have one shaped like the red Angry Bird. :-D

And UP indeed! Two thumbs way, WAY up, to be exact! I fell in love with this outfit from the first photo. It’s nostalgia, sweetness, and fond memories all rolled into one statement ensemble that made me do twirls in the next room. The cotton-candy hues of the balloons are great. I thought of them as the sprinkles on top since your chosen blouse and skirt remind me of those designer cupcakes I’ve seen.

The floral pattern of your blouse has great combinations of muted pastels and watercolour reds. I love how the flower petals kind of emboss each other against the aqua background. Worn on top of your skirt, it gives the impression of golden shortcake topped with strawberries. Given the chance, I’d offer you a few cherries as well! :-D

You look so childlike and whimsical in your jump shot. Don’t float too far away, for long, Miss Camille! Slide (in style)down a rainbow and come back to us! :-D

P.S. 26 years old or not, I still say you pull off youthful vibes effortlessly. I admire how you love what you do, and posts like this show it. :-D

How cute is your top! And flats/doll shoes are definitely a girl’s bestfriend. Which reminds me, I bought a pair of mel flats using the gift card included in the loop bags. So thank you again lol, it’s definitely perfect for a commuter like me since the rainy season is just around the corner :) This post reminds me of the movie UP. Haha so cute :) And I was just also wondering, how will I claim the mel slippers I won during the raffle/quiz game during the dinner date? Thanks! haha this comment is just so long. And the last photo is just toooooooo beautiful! You look even younger and more fresh! :)

Aah I need a skirt like this Cams! I love how the photos look so carefree and happy. The flying-jumping-shot photo is obviously my favorite. I like how versatile this outfit can be. Just add in a pair of nude pumps and they can be worn to work for a smart casual ensemble or with flats like this while going around town and having fun. :)
