LeSportsac just turned 40! To celebrate its four decades in the industry, the quintessential American lifestyle brand of casual trendsetting nylon bags is releasing one capsule collection for each season. This means we’ll get to enjoy four unique seasonal capsules that represent four decades of lightweight, functional and trendy handbags, travel totes, messenger bags, backpacks and accessories. Exciting, right? This is why when I was asked to be part of LeSportsac’s anniversary editorial, I immediately said yes. I’ve always been a fan of the brand even at a young age. My weekender bags and vanity kits were mostly from LeSportsac. I remember I went especially gaga over their Tokidoki collection. Oh the memories just came rushing in!
Let me stop myself here before I go any further down memory lane. As I was saying, I was asked to be part of LeSportsac’s Anniversary collection editorial along with fellow bloggers Lissa and Patricia. We sported pieces from the second season’s collection (Summer 2014), which focuses on modernizing the best of the 80’s trends such as sporty and lucidly bright styles. The collection features original styles like the Camera Bag and the Weekender but with updated designs perfect for an active lifestyle. Check it out!
I was given the more classic styles for this shoot but there are plenty of other designs in vibrant prints from LeSportsac’s Summer 2014 collection. There’s a collection inspired by New York-based artist Curtis Kulig’s “Love Me” artwork and another made in collaboration with makeup brand Benefit. They’re more retro and tropical, with flowers, bold stripes, polka dots and more! You should definitely be on the lookout for those.
The LeSportsac 40th Anniversary collection is already available at LeSportsac stores and LeSportsac.com.
