Coming of Age

I thought I’d dress a bit more mature today. I am, after all, past the quarter life mark. I remember when I was younger, my mom wouldn’t allow me to wear colors like these. She said they would make me look older than my age. I guess you can say it’s my mom who instilled in me the importance of dressing your age. No matter how much you love a certain clothing or trend in general, you must always make it age appropriate. In my opinion, style is nothing without consideration. They should always come hand in hand.

You look so elegant and classy in your style! “Dress appropriate according to your age”. Hmmmm. That drums in my ears. You are right about that stuff! I’ll try too dressing appropriately, because most of them mistaken me as a high schooler(probably because I’m small XD ). -_- I’m about to turn 21 next month but whenever I met new people they’ve always think that I’m just in high school. I’m not complaining but I think it’s now the time to dress more maturely without loosing simplicity factor edge. And thanks to you Ate Camille! You’ve enlighten me up!

Yes, this look looks very mature and I love how you play your style. Everything just suits you very well from pastel to pastel, print on print, edgy, dainty, sexy, to mature dressing. I really admire your fashion sense. Haha I’m the youngest here in our team at the office and this outfit may help me remove that “young” image to my officemates even just for a day. I’m forever thankful to your tipss!! :)

I’m not sure if I agree 100% with the whole “dress your age” concept. With obvious exceptions {no need to wear sequin minis when you’re 70} I think it can look chic when done correctly. Isn’t “grandma” style a thing now? On that note, I love your outfit. That skirt is gorgeous.

I think grandma style is just a description for lazy, loose dressing but not necessarily the REAL grandma style. :) When you wear the grandma trend, you don’t have to look old. :) But thank you Raven!

I love! Very elegant! Kate Middleton lang ang peg! I wish I can make my mom wear heels as high as those! I remember buying her similar heels for my Graduation, she wore it for like 10 min lang. haha! She later on changed to flats haha!

Your mom ate Cams plays a big role talaga of you being a fashion blogger right now, with such tips and advices-it shows! and she’s right you should wear naman talaga which suits your age and my thoughts about this dress of yours is that I think its half young and a half older because (we always have that thought with my classmates) it also depends on who wears it and for you with such face that as vibrant as that its an half-half for me. hehehehe XOXO

I absolutely love the outfit. Sure, it’s mature but more than that: I consider it sophisticated. Furthermore, I believe that the pattern on the green top surely gives off some youthful vibes. So thumps up!

“Style is nothing without consideration” I just realized that this is what drew me to your blog chictopia days mo pa lang. This is what actually sets you apart from others bloggers. Always appropriate, deserving of admiration di tulad sa iba na parang pag nakita mo mapapa ano ba yan ka na lang! Sorry long comment.
