Schooled

Attending Watches and Wonders made me feel like I got an intensive short course on the basics of watches. Not that it was burdensome or boring or anything like all the things we hate about school, but more because I learned so much in such a short amount of time. I keep saying this over and over again but the watch industry and the craft of watchmaking are a fascinating world. While listening to IWC’s Creative Director, Christian Knoop, and the rest of the IWC team, I kept finding myself totally immersed in it all, without even noticing how much time has passed. It’s like I was in one of those legendary classes in school. You know, the one with the professor you look up to and put in such high regard that whatever he/she says makes you go ooh and ahhh. He/she challenges you and makes you think. I’ve had quite a couple of those back in my college days in Ateneo. Oh how I miss those days. All that talk about “the being of the being”, philosophizing and racking my brains for answers and clarity. Warning: you’re officially about to lose me down memory lane. This preppy outfit that I wore to Watches And Wonders isn’t helping either. I can’t help but think about that wide-eyed girl, eager to learn more in school. What with my boyfriend blazer, buttoned up shirt and cool-as-can-be backpack, I was so ready to get my knowledge on. I guess you can never really take the nerd out of this girl.

I am doing oohhs and aahhs in my professors too, it keeps me motivated so that I would study hard and be like them. :) Btw, when you were in college what’s your favorite subject? just curious. :) love your outfit.

Wooo Go Lasalle! Lol Hahahhaha anyway, I love the color combination. Everything just works and colors pop! I feel so nostalgic about my college days too. Sometimes, the stress that work causes makes me want to go back in school instead. Haha I also feel that ooh and aahh moment to my law professors. Ahh, good times. And ohh your shoes are soooo nice!! Love it!

I wish we were allowed to wear something like this in school. If only uniforms were this chic! I really love your shoes Cams and don’t worry about the nerd thing. I do that too and I think I get annoying at some point with my curiosity over things. Museums excite me and history too. Yay nerds! Haha. Anyway, your Twitter and Instagram posts say that you’re in Cebu! The fan girl in me feels excited just knowing that we’re walking in the same island. Oopsies here goes weirdo me again. LOL! I hope I bump into you or something. :)
