As always, I try to end the year with a bang, which in my book calls for nothing lesser than a gold outfit. This one is by Olcay Gulsen, a fashion designer from Netherlands who’s known for creating garments with timeless appeal. She designs clothes that allow the modern woman’s femininity to shine through, even in a suit like this that’s inspired by menswear. I’ve actually had this suit for quite some time now. I’ve been saving it for a special occasion because it’s only right to give something as beautiful as this the mileage it deserves. I finally decided to wear it to Chicago The Musical’s Gala Night that was sponsored by Smart early this month. While everyone else was in black (clearly taking inspiration from the musical), I was the sole attendee who took all that jazz to mean something as glittery as this. I’m sure the attention-seeking, Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly would approve.
Needless to say, I definitely saved the best outfit for last. I can’t believe we’re ushering in a new year! How time flies! 2014 has been great as usual–with plenty of travel diaries, OOTDs, events, projects and more. As much as I despise using the hashtag #blessed, it’s the perfect way to describe this year. Thank you once again for spending your 2014 with me. It has been a joy to share every moment with you. Hopefully, you’ll still stick around next year. Let’s grow old and gray together, shall we? Happy new year, everyone!
