When Less Is More

If it’s sleek and sophisticated that you’re going for, sometimes you don’t really need a lot. You know how the saying goes, right? Less is more. A simple outfit is all it takes to wow. This is why I like investing in minimalist pieces. You can never go wrong with them. Wear them as they are for a casual look, or style them up for something dressier. Either way, they’re bound to earn you fashion points. Odds are, they’ll stay longer in your closets too.

Hi, Ms. Camille! I am trying to catch up with your posts! :-)

Anyway, I really love that black and gold combination! That does not go out of style! :) I agree that those type of clothing are very versatile and never go out of style. :D

I totally agree that we should all keep basics. Back then I always bought very edgy/sparkly/androgynous types of clothes. When it was time for me to dress up I really had a hard time pairing my clothes because it looks soooo over the top :( then after that, I realized that I also should buy those simple clothes to balance my look out :) and because of your posts I learned that basics can also look great!

    Those heels! <3

OOooooooooooohhhhhhh! If this series of photos is a response to the request I made in a previous comment, THANK YOU, MISS CAMILLE! That side-swept hair really works for you! :-D I especially appreciated that hair movement in your last photo.

I agree with your take on minimalist clothing. Simplicity is often overlooked with the availability of all the fashion-savvy pieces. I think that good investments also come in those solid clothes that can be worn as is, or jazzed up by layering and accessorizing. I really like that you can do a lot with rompers like this one. The mood of the navy color is usually done to downplay, but I think it gives you a smart-casual look when paired with your gold heels and accessories. I really love how your bag looks like a book gilded in solid gold. There is this Egyptian warrior-queen feel to it all. Like Nefertiri in this day and age.

Speaking of your shoes, talk about variations to gladiator footwear! This pair looks DEADLY! Each photo with your shoes looks like you’re doing a graceful dance step on tiptoe. I hope they’re also comfortable. That last photo gave me a good look at how high the heels are…

    Hi Camille,

Your paging is confusing. Shouldn’t be the previous page is be the number before and the next page is the number after? Hehe. Just my observation.

So jealous of your legs,Miss Camille! So straight and attractive! And yeah, it’s really best to buy clothes that doesn’t go out of trend, like the classic basics. Simple yet classy :) What exercise is best to volume up calves Miss Camille without looking like a body builder? :D

Thanks Mary Ann! Mom said she massaged our legs when we were babies so that they’ll be straight :) Looks like it works! Haha! :) I’m not so sure what exercise is suitable for calves since I rarely do leg workouts. I’m not the best person to ask for this! So sorry!

Death by Giuseppe Zanotti! How can you walk with those heels Cams? I cannot walk in anything longer than 4 inches or else my feet would die. LOL. I agree with you right there about minimalist pieces. I love how classy this shade of blue looks when paired with gold. Aaah and those necklaces… ♥
