Staying At Schloss Leopoldskron

How many people can say they actually got to live in a palace? Meeeeeee! Thanks to Sunrise Greece and the arrangements they made for us, I now have official bragging rights to this. Hello there, you may now call me Princess Camille. LOL. Too much? Okay. I thought I should at least try.

Schloss Leopoldskron is Salzburg’s famous palace that was commissioned by the Prince Archbishop of Salzburg in 1736. Many royals have come and go in this palace so you can just imagine how grand it is, both inside and out. It’s on 7 hectares of lakeside gardens with an incomparable view of the majestic mountains. Once inside, you’ll find the best rococo-style rooms there is in Salzburg. No wonder this was chosen as Sound of Music’s main film location. Chanel even did a fashion show here! I must say, I’m in good company.

Although Schloss Leopoldskron is a famous tourist attraction here in Salzburg, only guests of the palace can roam around the vicinity–and even so, not all guests can do the type of shoot I did here with Sunrise Greece. All the permits for our shoot were arranged by Sunrise Greece and are included in their package. This way, I didn’t only get to stay in the palace for the entire duration of my stay here in Salzburg, I also got to shoot my favorite Sunrise Greece photos here and pretend I’m a real-life Princess with my dashing Prince Charming by my side. One item off my bucketlist!

That really makes me feel so happy! I’m always afraid no one reads my write-ups anymore or they might be too short and sweet but glad to know someone appreciates it! :)
