To The Bride and Groom-To-Be

Let’s put things in perspective. I’m at an age when practically everyone around me (and by everyone, I mean my highschool besties) are either married or getting married so I’d be lying if I say, marriage and weddings don’t cross my mind. Add to this the fact that I deal with brides all the time as a fashion designer working in the bridal industry. I’m practically surrounded by wedding bells! But it’s precisely because of these things that I’m one of the lucky few who not only see the dream behind the perfect wedding, but the reality as well–the reality that behind every Pinterest-worthy gown, cake, flowers, photos and more is the painstaking task of actually planning a wedding. Yes, it’s an exciting time but it can get confusing, overwhelming, and stressful which may or may not result to a few (or a lot) of tears along the way.

Did I suddenly make wedding planning seem like the most horrible thing to do? Oh gosh, I hope not. I merely want you, brides-to-be and future brides, to go into this process with your head in the game and not entirely in the clouds so you’re well-informed and prepared. This way, when you look back on your wedding planning, you’ll remember it as a pleasant, stress-free and happy time (which should be the case).

This is why as a bride (or groom), you need all the help you can get. Achieving your dream wedding is a group effort. You can’t do it alone. You need the right team–and I’m not just pertaining to your groom (or bride), entourage, family and friends. When I say team, I mean your wedding suppliers/vendors–the people you’ll be dealing with all throughout the process, the people responsible for making your dream wedding become a reality.

But where do you start?

Enter Bridestory–an online wedding platform that connects brides and grooms-to-be with wedding vendors all over the world. It’s the niftiest app/website ever because you can browse suppliers based on category, country, budget and even color!

For example, I want my wedding color motif to be somewhere in between peach and blush so I’d like to search suppliers who’ve done this before. Or maybe I simply want to browse through photos so I can get some wedding inspiration. Tada! A plethora of choices come up!

There are plenty of vendors on Bridestory, each sorted under one or more of these categories. Once you click on a vendor’s photo, you’ll be directed straight to its page to see more of its previous works, price list, contact details and even reviews. In short, all the relevant information you need as a bride/groom-to-be. Convenient, right?

There’s even a blog section as well where you can read more about weddings and hopefully, get even more inspired. It’s really the most well-rounded wedding platform I’ve ever chanced upon. So to the future Mr. and Mrs., I say head on over to Bridestory.com.ph. Your dream wedding awaits!

Love this post! (Actually love all your blog posts + youtube videos!) But may I ask…Will you be giving any talks anytime soon or posting tips on how you were able to start a blog and make it so successful? How did you cope with all the emotional, mental and physical part of yourself to start the blog? :)) I will definitely appreciate it if you can talk about it! <3 I really love how you can be so consistent in doing all these and making it so perfect and not afraid of what other people would think of it. I really want to start a blog too but everything just comes into my mind and I am really afraid. :( I was really inspired by you ever since then.

    Love,

a big fan of yours! xoxo

Oh that’s a good topic! I’ll definitely think of something that can answer all these questions. :) You know, to be completely honest, I don’t think I’ve been consistent, at least frequency-wise. I haven’t been able to post as much but this topic is really good! I’ll work on it.

Don’t be afraid of what other people will say. You can’t please everyone. Even the richest, most beautiful and smartest people have insecurities and haters as well. You won’t get anywhere if you keep worrying about what naysayers would say. :)
