Maintaining My Skin

I’ve had really fair skin all my life. I remember back in high school my friends would tease me that my skin was turning transparent because it was that white. I guess this is the reason why I used to never really bother maintaining my fair complexion. I could stay all day under the sun, tanning oil and all, yet still stay fair with no significant change to my skin.

But as I grew older and my love for the beach and traveling got stronger, my skin slowly adapted. I still don’t tan easily but I do get darker now. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate the change. I actually welcome it because at least, I no longer look as pale as before. But what comes with getting darker and staying out under the sun so much is dull and uneven complexion. This, I hate.

This is why I’m all for trying the new Olay Body Wash. As I’ve said in my previous blog post about it, the new Olay Body Wash promises to give you glowing skin. Unlike the usual “whitening” products, Olay aims to give you that healthy glow while evening out your skin tone and nourishing your skin. I’ve actually been using it for the past 2 weeks and I must say, I love it! My skin feels so soft after every shower. Just the other day, I felt like I was living out a skin commercial because my boyfriend couldn’t stop caressing my skin. True story! He kept saying my skin was super smooth. I don’t know if he noticed the “glow” though but then again, he is a guy after all. As for me, I definitely think it rejuvenates my skin especially after abusing it at the beach all weekend.

Have you tried the new Olay Body Wash? Let me know how you like it!

I’ve been fair all my life too. At times even ghostly. Eep! What’s worse is I don’t tan. I burn. *sobs* Anyway, I agree with you Cams. Uneven complexion isn’t very pretty. I haven’t tried that specific body wash but I use another Olay soap product to even out my skin after getting burnt. :)

Oh no! Have you tried the Nivea Sun Bronze and Protect? It works on me! Just maybe use a normal sunblock before that so you’re super protected since you burn.
