Roponggi

Good food is always one of my top priorities whenever I travel, so on my last day in Tokyo, I made sure to add another restaurant in my growing list of Japan “musts”. The restaurant is called Mercer Brunch, located at Roponggi. It’s a good thing that Tricia and I are both foodies so even if Roponggi was a little far from where we’re staying, we still went out of our way just to try what Tricia’s friend calls “the best french toast EVER.” Again, emphasis on the “EVER”. I mean when someone builds something up that much, you know you just HAVE TO to try it. And it’s a good thing we did. Although it wasn’t easy looking for Mercer Brunch and there was already a line outside by the time we got there (that was before 11am), the food made everything worth it! We got the salmon with avocados and the steak and eggs, both with the best french toasts EVER. Our tummies were more than satisfied! Just the way I wanted to end my trip!

(Plus some last minute shopping at Shibuya 109. *wink*)

You may find this question weird but why do they/you call those jeans boyfriend jeans? How are they different from straight/bootcut jeans? Please enlighten me. Haha.

They’re cut lower and bigger :) Not exactly the most flattering for one’s butt :)

Hi Ate Camille (I hope you don’t mind the word ‘ate’ :D),

I have been really a fan of yours! Well, I am 15 years that becoming and I also want to be a fashion designer. And I know being a successful fashion designer would take a lot of courage and determination.

The food looks good! I also make it a priority to discover new restaurants and try out new food when traveling. I believe it’s crucial in order to “complete” one’s experience of a foreign country.

Also, I love your outfit as usual! Sorry if I sound incredibly redundant, but I really do love every single one of your looks. This series of ensembles from your Japan trip is one of my faves! It’s amazing how you can switch up your look so easily (from feminine, to rocker chic, to effortlessly cool, etc.) and every single style suits you! Ako, I have my own personal style (mostly edgy and preppy) and while I do try out new things now and then, I find it hard to REALLY change up my style the way you do! You inspire me to push myself even further and destroy the style boundaries that hold me back.

(Sorry for the long comment LOL. I got carried away)

I agree! :) Food can never be neglected :) Thanks Kyle! No you don’t sound redundant at all :) I really like switching things up, especially now while I’m still young. Maybe you’re not just used to the change but it actually looks good on you!

Same here! I always try different food place whenever I can to enhance my palate. But I’m not really into the raw meat unless they are soaked in a vinegar and lemon with some herbs and spices! (nom nom, delish!) Oh, how I love your androgynous look here because of your boyfriend jeans ;)

Oooh. Good to know Cams! You are seriously helping me out (and many others) in planning a possible Japan trip! Hopefully, the news about a visa-free trip to Japan would come true. Nevertheless and even if it won’t I’d still go into all the trouble to visit the land of the rising sun!
