The Beginning

May 7, 2016–the day my European fairytale officially started. We arrived in Santorini late at night, greeted by a team member of Sunrise Greece who assisted us all the way from check in to our hotel until we’re safely settled in for a good night’s rest. “See you tomorrow,” she said. “Eeep! Can’t wait!” I thought. Tomorrow is THE DAY I get to finally see Oia and its famous white, blue and yellow houses by the cliff. This is it!

By morning the next day, we made our way to the hotel Sunrise Greece arranged for us in Oia, Santorini, where we’re going to stay for the entire time we’re in Greece. I loved everything about our suite. In fact, I could’ve stayed there forever if it’s not for Santorini’s picture perfect spots tempting me every time I look out my suite’s window. Who would’ve thought I’d get to wake up to this view everyday for a few days? All thanks to Sunrise Greece who made sure we got a room with the best view. (Read: my very own jacuzzi and terrace facing the famous Santorini’s cliff side.)

After a few hours of walking around Oia with Sunrise Greece (more of that on a separate post), it was finally time for me to see the dresses Sunrise Greece pulled out for me for our fairytale shoot. Amie, who is in charge of styling, have been coordinating with me about the dresses prior to this trip so I already knew what she had in store for me. But of course, when I finally saw them in person, I still had butterflies in my stomach! 2 Vera Wang bridal gowns and 1 Monique Lhuillier bridal gown–ALL FOR ME. I kept staring at them and touching them, just admiring their beauty. Together with Chris, my hair and makeup artist arranged by Sunrise Greece for my entire fairytale experience, she helped me fit the gowns and made notes on where to alter the gowns so they’d fit me well for the shoot. A few pins here and there and voila! I felt like a true bride. Chris, Amie and I then talked about the hair and makeup for the 2 looks we were shooting around Santorini. AHHHHH! Surreal. This is it! This is really it.

…To be continued.

If you want something light then try the Sony mirrorless cameras like A7r or A7s or A6000 :)

Your Santorini pictures are my favorite, Camille!! Would you be able to link what products they used for your hair and makeup, and the brand for your red skirt outfit? Did they put a tanner on you, or was it your real tan from being by the beach? REALLY love the looks they gave you and the scenery!!

I got really tanned here in Santorini. My skirt is from River Island but bought it long long time ago. :) As for my makeup and hair for the shoot, I don’t know what they used on me. So sorry :(
