Avon Girl

A few months back, I did a shoot for Avon Fashions’ lookbook with my fellow bloggers Vern and Patrish. It’s going to be out on all Avon brochures from August 16-31, which means you’re supposed to start seeing it only by tomorrow. But because I treat my readers extra special, I’m showing you the editorial first!

If you’re wondering why our lookbook will only be available until the 31st, this is because Avon launches new products every 2 weeks. With a team based in New York that is dedicated to studying the latest global trends, Avon makes sure Avon Fashions products are up-to-date. Needless to say, it’s important for fashionistas like you to check our their brochures and website every so often, else you’ll miss out on the latest like this pair of wide-framed sunnies I’m wearing here called the Sasha sunglasses. They’re only P399! You can get them at an even lower price of P199 if you purchase them together with selected items on the brochure. I would’ve never though these sunnies are that affordable especially because of the lovely metal temples.

Since this editorial is for Avon Fashions‘ lookbook, Patrish, Vern and I were each assigned different themes to follow for styling our Avon Fashions accessories and innerwear. We gave a few styling tips as well to help you Avon ladies create your own looks using these Avon Fashions products. My first theme shown here is the classic chic style for day. I didn’t find it difficult to style these accessories at all because they are precisely that, classic chic. The floral accessories I have on are called the Roselle necklace (P349), ring (P299) and earrings (P349), respectively. They’re a mix of gold and crystals, perfect for girly girls like me. (I know some of you maybe concerned with the gold tarnishing but Avon actually has a no tarnishing 6-month warranty that comes with these accessories so you don’t have to worry about that.) I then finished off my look with the Samia goldtone watch (P1149) and neutral-toned Christy large shoulder bag (P750) in croc leatherette for a bit of texture.

My second theme is called “timeless elegance” which in my opinion, perfectly describes these sophisticated silver accessories so well! Take a look at my Elegant Affair watch for example, it has little Chinese roundstones tastefully placed on it that scream elegance. Because I’m wearing a dress that has a plain top, I wore the Loren locket necklace and earring gift set (P549) to balance off my sparkly sequin skirt. Don’t you worry if you don’t have a significant other’s photo to put inside this locket just yet. With this look, I’m sure you’ll be ready to take on more date nights to find Mr. Right! LOL.

Some of you may recognize the dress I’m wearing here from one of my previous blog posts. I remember that a lot of you asked me what bra I was wearing underneath this backless dress. If you’re not comfortable with wearing stick-ons like what I was wearing on the said blog post, you can opt for convertible bras instead like this Sheryll Underwire Covertible T-Shirt Brasserie with removable straps (P499). This multi-way bra is made of micro-fiber so its quite comfortable while still able to provide you with the support and confidence you need. The way the straps are shown from behind don’t look tacky at all, and actually look like they’re part of the design so it’s a win win!

    Yay for your new endorsement!! I’ve been an avon girl pretty much since I can remember. My mom always buy me avon bras and makeup in my teenage years. Perks of having an auntie avon dealer lol. I’ll check the brochure for sure! Congrats Cams and more endorsements to come!! :D

    I always have a bit of trouble with accessories na madaling ma-tarnish. Buti naman at meron silang warranty. I love Avon kas their products are very affordable. I love how you made the accessories look sooo sooo chic! I love the Timeless Elegance outfit! Lakas maka “long-legged” ! hahaha

    Another project to be proud of na naman ate Cams!!!,this project keep me thinking na-this proves na hindi talaga kayo masyadong maarte sa pagpili ng brands when it comes to fashion. Yes we all know na the more known brands or the more expensive the more durable and the quality is good and also it lasts long(kaya nga international brands ang iba sa inyong binibili diba?)But it never closed your doors to accept local brands to endorse(baka kasi sabihin ng iba dyan-maaarte yan kasi hindi guamagamit ng local brands). Avonnaman is one of the genuine and trusted local brands here in the Philippines,what’s more to them is that their products are affordable but still the quality is good,I even remember that my mom has more avon products on her kit than the others,and my tita was a representative on our place as a direct seller of the brand(cheka much!)So i’m really proud of my idol that she will now be viewed on the pages of one of the known local brand in the country,I would really love to buy the brochure kahit na i think wala naman akong bibilhin(I keep on collecting magazines with you on the issue-stalker101!) hehehehe XOXO

      Awww thanks Elden! Avon is actually international but still, affordable and of good quality. :) I think this is why it’s still so successful now and is continuously growing bigger and better!

    I truly adore your dress on the third photo :) The back details are delicate and splendid. (Did you design it? Hahaha. Wala lang. I just got struck by the peacock like details).

    Finally, I’m able to comment back again despite the busy schedule of a student who has a lot of deadlines to meet. I wonder if you still remember me. Hmmm I love Avon products, they just keep getting better and better. I always remember before in their brochure which I would immediately go to the perfume section where I could rub my fingers to the different fragrance of their perfume. So much fun! HAHA

    U know my mom is the one who brings my son to school and just yesterday she told me that you were on Avon’s brochure(you know at school nannies and parents are into direct selling), she also bragged that I met last April on your special birthdate. She just felt too proud because she knows you so she ended up educating all the parents area who you are.See? Lol! She’s right you’re now part of the Avon family. : )
