Travel Diary: Burj Khalifa

Every famous city has that iconic structure to remember it by. The Burj Khalifa is Dubai’s and deservingly so. Standing over 828 meters and with more than 160 stories, Burj Khalifa holds countless records like tallest building in the world, tallest free-standing structure in the world, highest number of stories in the world, highest occupied floor in the world, highest outdoor observation deck in the world, elevator with the longest travel distance in the world and tallest service elevator in the world. In short and in Filipino (for more emphasis), IKAW NA BURJ KHALIFA, IKAW NA. Of course, I made this my first official tourist spot to visit. I was already at Dubai Mall anyway and the Burj Khalifa’s observation deck, At The Top’s entrance is located there. I figured there’s no better way to get a taste of what Dubai has to offer in the coming days than looking at its cityscape from At The Top. I got to see all of it’s major spots like Palm Jumeirah and Burj Al Arab and got a sense of just how beautifully planned the entire city is through this bird’s-eye view.

Just a little tip though for those of you plan to visit At The Top, Burj Khalifa. Make sure to purchase your tickets ahead so that you’re sure to get in. What I did was I asked my hotel’s concierge to purchase the tickets for me online. We got the timed/scheduled fast track ticket since he recommended that we go around 5:15 to catch the sunset from the observation deck. The line can get impossibly long during peak hours so getting the fast track ticket was a good decision for me. I didn’t have to wait in line and it was go-go-go from start to finish. Less hassle, more time to take in the view. Check out my photos below!

I couldn’t agree more, Burj Khalifa holds the most titles so far.
It’s nice to know that you’ve gotten a good spot to take your pictures, especially the sunset.

When we went, it was winter season in Dubai so it wasn’t hot at all. Temperature was around 15degrees or so :)

It’s breathtaking Cams! It makes me excited to see more of your travel diaries. By the way I forgot to ask in your previous post (Dubai Mall) if you visited Candylicious. I’ve heard it’s a paradise of candies and chocolates!
