Reinvented

Basics will never go out of style, but that doesn’t mean you can’t reinvent them. If you want to spice them up without losing their classic appeal, go for basics in fresh silhouettes and cuts. Take this polo for example. I can see myself wearing it 10, even 20 years from now. It’s definitely for keeps. But at the same time, it’s neither boring nor predictable. If you look at my entire outfit, all the pieces I’m wearing are of the same principle. It’s a classic black and white outfit but with little details that make it just a bit more interesting.

Hello Ms. Camille, I know I am male but I loved how you combine things. I am inspired by you on how I style my sisters. Is it okay for you to sketch on of your style and put it on my blog? Thanks!

Totally agree with the everlasting pieces. You’ve got the latest Boy from Chanel! They’re gorgeous the way they add in more colors into the Boy family =)

Wow, Miss Camille! You remind me of Sadie Kane in Rick Riordan’s The Kane Chronicles! She has red streaks in her hair and grew up as a British schoolkid with a rebellious personality.

I also think it’s a principle you have here. The basics are indeed for keeps, but you’ve chosen pieces with a very rebellious take on the usual norms. I love how the whole ensemble makes me think “Hmm… Naughty or nice?” It’s a pleasant mystery.

I also love how your white top looks ruffled in an effortlessly stylish way. You look ready for both work and play with how the leather of your skirt and bag complements the crisp white of your blouse.

I noticed that you’re wearing a deeper shade of eyeshadow than usual. I believe it made your peepers look more deep-set and exotic. Suits you well!

Are your heels a new version of ladies’ spartan shoes? The lacing has a very interesting pattern. :-D

That’s a nice way to put it. They do have a rebellious vibe. :) I guess that’s why this top can go from a day at the office to dinner with the girls :) Thanks Angelic! Smokey eyes suit my Chinese eyes well :)

are all the clothes you wear sponsored by the brand or you just really support and like them?

Not all are sponsored but if they are, I choose them so naturally, I like them. I don’t blog about things I don’t personally like. :)

I love! So Balmain-ish your skirt! Most of the time pa nga in fashion, it’s the little details pa that can make or break an outfit!
