Travel Diary: Osaka Castle

Finally back in Osaka after touring around Kyoto and Nara. We really intended to make this city our last stop so that we can enjoy a free and easy schedule. Compared to Kyoto, Osaka doesn’t have a lot of tourist spots–the most famous one is probably already Osaka Castle which is what you see below.

To be honest, I was a bit underwhelmed when I went inside the castle. Much as I loved its beautiful exterior, I couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed when I saw that its interior is now entirely modern and transformed into a museum showcasing the castle’s history. I sure would’ve loved seeing how the castle looked like back in it’s prime. Oh well, at least the castle is surrounded by pretty gardens.

Hi! I’m just wondering how do you packed your canon 5d when traveling abroad?

I bring it me when I walk around. I never check it in my luggage, I only place it inside my hand luggage.

I wouldn’t know about the inside, but the exterior is very beautiful, especially the elaborately designed golden edges. I wish your comment section supported wide-eyed/starry-eyed emoji holding two thumbs up so I can express how pretty this outfit is! ^^

How I wish emojis can be used everywhere! I agree though. The outside looks beautiful, it’s probably why I expected much when I went inside :)

Beautiful photos! It looks so peaceful. I’m an American currently living in Bangkok, and I hope to travel to Japan at some point while I’m here. It is interesting to learn more about places to visit in Japan in addition to Tokyo. I have really enjoyed your recent posts about Japan. Thank you!
