Start Fresh

I guess I can’t sit with Regina George then. I wore pink too early in the week. Movies like “Mean Girls” bring me back to the good old days, when I was still in school, buried in my books. Even so, I’ve always paid attention to the way I dress. Skinny jeans, in particular, were my weapons of choice during the first few years of my college life. I’m sure it’s the same for a lot of students. I mean, why not? Jeans are easy, comfortable and practical. I wonder how students of today style their jeans. Hmmm, I guess I’ll find out when I start my campus tour with local denim brand Freshgear this Thursday.

From August until September, Freshgear and I will be going around 3 universities in the Metro to do the Freshgear Fashion Face-off. For each school, we will be bringing 2 of your favorite fashion bloggers who’ll team up with students to compete for the best fashion makeover. I’ll be keeping a watchful eye over the teams and, together with Freshgear and the public, will choose which of the 2 Fashion Face-off teams are the winners. Exciting, right? This must be what it feels like to be Tyra Banks! LOL.

The first school we’re visiting this Thursday is the University of Santo Thomas. So Thomasians, you better get ready to #StartFresh! Your Fashion Face-off teams will be headed by David Guison and Tracy Ayson. We’ll be starting at the Freshgear booth located at Plaza Mayor by 9:30am. The booth will actually be up already by tomorrow where you can get premium Freshgear freebies via the Style Spin Game and make use of the photobooth for free as well. AHHHH! CAN’T WAIT!

After UST, we’ll be invading San Beda College on August 28 with Vern and Verniece Enciso then Adamson University on September 4 with Lissa Kahayon and Mikyle Quizon. This is going to be the biggest campus styling event of the year so make sure you follow FreshGearJeans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for live updates.  See you there, kiddos!

    Skinny jeans.. I only have one pair of skinny jeans.. I have huge calves(well, not that huge and I’m skinny making my calves really noticeable TT) that’s why I don’t think skinny jeans is good idea.

    Speaking of fresh, how are you able to manage your face look so fresh all the time? I hope you give me any tips . :) I got an oily skin and after a long time it make me look so haggard especially in the afternoon. :) Do you also know any tips on making large pores small? By the way, I love your jeans! It loooks so comfy to wear and also your top! :))))

      Oil film is key! LOL :) As for pores, you should apply special creams for that :)

Camille, your necklace caught my attention so much, it was so pretty!!!, I thought it was part of your fashion coz’ it goes along well with your outfit of the day, but upon reading the lines that you said that “it was given by your mother when you were little”, made me admire you more…It was so sweet of you for keeping such treasure and still wears it today. She must be so proud of you…And as a mom, I got the idea of giving my two kids that same necklace that you have so they will always have my love in that treasure as they grow up.     No campus tour in Taft area? Lol Hahaha you only mentioned 3 universities (UST, San Beda, Adamson), what’s the 4th college? Hahaha way back when I was still in school, I wear jeans like 4-5 times a week. 1 day is reserved for corpo mondays of course haha it’s super laid back, comfortable, and
    easy to style. Haha I love jeans haha oh how I wish I could just go back to college. :'(

    Loving the neutrals! And I love love love your necklace! I was looking to see where you got it and was a bit disappointed to find out that it wasn’t from a store but that your mom made it instead (meaning I can’t go and buy it). But I would imagine that a necklace like that would have much sentimental value to it, even more considering that your mom made it! :)

    I love how those jeans fits perfectly on you, u look even taller on them + the heels, gosh you’re height is so intimidating esp. for the averaged-height guys. Lol!
