Pencil In

When you see a collared shirt and knee-length pencil skirt together, one can’t help but think of corporate attires and business meetings. It’s a tried and tested outfit we’ve seen too many times inside board rooms and offices. It’s sophisticated, respectable and always appropriate. But what if you want to change it up and wear it on a casual day? You’re young and fresh so you’d like to take the stiffness out of the outfit and make it into your own. Why not inject sporty details here and there? They provide a great contrast to your outfit’s otherwise all-out feminine appeal. Like the watch I’m wearing, for example. A huge watch like Veloci’s gold voyager watch adds a nice masculine touch to your outfit without looking too rugged. It’s pretty affordable too, if I may add. Then to complete you look, opt for your favorite pair of sneakers or slip ons instead of putting your feet through hell in heels. My footwear of choice are these lace flats from Flossy Style. I like how they look feminine still even if they’re slip-ons. You see, when I say sporty, you don’t have to go all out and look like a little boy ready to play hoops on the court. There’s always a way to look sporty and effortless whilst looking every bit the girly girl that you are.

Pastels.. I really love them. I hope I can pull off clothes like you do. Pastels look better on fair skinned people.

I also love pencil skirts. I am planning to buy one with the length just below the calves. .. But I’m not sure how to style skirts with this length. Any suggestions which tops and shoes to pair with midis?

Thanks Alda! Always heels, so that you’ll look taller. Tuck your top in if it’s long. :)

Very well said! This look is a perfect example of day to night outfit. Finish day errands with a comfy sporty look and switch to heels and smokey makeup for a nice girls night out. Totally love the skirt. And you look really blooming in pastel. Hihi

I like this idea Cams! Come to think of it. If you put on a blazer and heels It’ll look like corporate wear but you can change up to slip-ons for a night of binge chatting/eating with your girls on a Friday night. Still works and no aching feet. :)
