Jessica

Jessica. To you, it’s a girl’s name. To me, it’s one of my mom’s all time favorite clothing brands. I remember when I was younger, Jessica wasn’t available yet here in Manila so my mom and I would hunt it down every time we went to Hong Kong. Once we’re in the store, it took us HOURS to finish shopping–partly because my mom took forever to fit clothes but mostly because there were too many pretty clothes to choose from. I was her personal stylist, meticulously searching through the racks to find her pieces that would suit her. Needless to say, I knew Jessica well.

Jessica is classy, feminine and always on point. This is why it’s no surprise that I grew to love the brand so much too. Now whenever we visit Jessica, I no longer choose for mom only but for myself as well. (More for myself now if we’re being honest. LOL.) I actually just stopped by Jessica again to check out its holiday collection that was inspired by the 60s and 70s. Jessica calls the concept “city boho”–merging free-spirited and gypsy style qualities of a boho girl with the modern attitudes of today’s urban women. I couldn’t wrap my head around the idea at first but when I saw the collection, I completely understood what Jessica meant. It’s basically the boho girl transformed into a sophisticated Jessica woman. And my style post below is just one way to interpret it.

Jessica is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc., a member of SSI Group, Inc., and is located at Estancia Mall at Capitol Commons, Podium, Rustan’s Makati and Shangri-la Plaza Mall.

Everytime I heard “Jessica” I always remember Jessica Jung of Snsd, a girl kpop group. She left her group and launched a Blanc and Eclare fashion line. It is expression of the modern classic. Both “Jessica” has its sophisticated looks!
