Viva Barcelona

And the style and travel posts from Spain finally begin! Although this is my fifth time to visit the beautiful city of Barcelona, I didn’t mind revisiting old favorites. My designated photographer for this trip was my childhood friend Sandy and this was her first time in the city so she wanted to see all the greats. What better way is there to do this than by starting off with a tour around one of Gaudi’s most famous works, Park Güell. I’m sure this place is no stranger to most of you. It has been featured in a lot of TV shows and movies. (ANTM, anyone?) I’ve actually made some really good memories here as well–from my first visit back when I was still a foreign exchange student to when I had my first photoshoot for Mango It Girl. Oh how time flies! I’ve changed so much but Park Güell still remains as beautiful as ever. I tried my best to capture all this in my next travel diary so do watch out for that. In the mean time, I hope you like my style post featuring this Haus of Scarlett 2-piece bodycon set. I thought I’d go for something bright to go with Gaudi’s colorful Park Güell!

Park Güell looks absolutely stunning, Miss Camille! I really love the stone pillars and earthy walls. The whole area is so attune to Spain’s heritage of sights and colors that energize the mind and spirit. In your 5th, 6th, and last photos, I was amazed at how seamless the artwork of the tiles in your background are. At first glance, I thought the images were a cloth quilt. If those jigsaw tile pieces are Barcelona’s version of street art, I’m not complaining. :-D

Judging from the wind effect, the air looks so light and crisp, I could practically breathe in the atmosphere. I mean, those rock formations you show here from the park look like honeycombs. Kudos to your friend, Miss Sandy for taking these pictures with such great angles that flatter the brilliant backgrounds.

As for your outfit, you made me game to intrepidly take on the city with you. The bodycon set is so playfully stylish, I can see your vibrant energy throughout this whole post. The cute fuschia color of the top added quite an extra blush in each picture. I especially commend that edge your white Mango blazer made for those full-body angles. It didn’t take away the cheerful array of the bodycon set. You made a striking, stand-out figure in a park as lovely as this one.

Your pink bag reminds me a lot of those pomelo sherbets one can get on the streets in artistic cities like Barcelona. I like its simple and basic cut. It offsets the bright pop of your top and adds a good balance of color to the palette hue.

I am jealously eyeing those shoes. The dragon-scale detail is beautifully done! It is the one part of your ensemble that has a print, and I am reminded of the tips you gave on not wearing too much “matchy-matchy” (is the term correct?).

I can’t decide on which part of your outfit is the statement piece! Each part is so diverse, yet they come together so well! Oh, and in your fifth to the last photo, I noticed a very lovely ring inlaid with two angel wings. That one is my favorite of your accessories.

Thank you Angelic! This blazer was a must! Else, everyone would be judging my sexy cropped top LOL :) Yes, matchy-matchy is the term. Although my new post today is all about being matchy matchy. Check it out! :)

Yay! So excited to read all of your posts about Spain and see all the photos <3 I like this outfit because the bodycon itself is quite sexy, but you changed the overall vibe of the ensemble into a more classic one by adding that blazer on top (I have a strange obsession with blazers, so it's no wonder I love this look!).

I was pleasantly surprised by the slip-ons. I think I got so used to you wearing heels so this is a nice change :)

Can't wait for your next posts!
